Be patient and enjoy the process to smarter living.....
Ready to start renovating but not sure where to start?
All projects are different and require a different approach. Projects with structural alterations will require profesionally drawn plans and Building Permits, your Council may require Planning Approval or you may have Heritage restrictions.
Some projects may also require an Engineer to provide details, or a soil test may need to be carried out.
If required, we can arrange any of this for you, or point you in the right direction. It is all part of our Client Service.
Generally a renovation to a kitchen or bathroom will not require any permits or professional plans. But if the design requires a load bearing wall to be removed it will require a permit and possibly Engineers' details also.
We can help you with the design of your vision and help drive your project forward through any of the necesary processes.
Investing in the right resources, and enjoying a relationship with your builder, designer, draftsman or architect will save both time and money and often results in a less stressful project for you.
We have in-house designers for Kitchens and Bathrooms and other projects. 3D computer generated drawings can be prepared as the initial step toward the final design or layout.
Enjoy the process......OUR process is really quite simple
Contact us either via our website Contact Form or just give us a call.
Initially we will talk through the renovation with you - this will enable us to ascertain if there is enough information available for the type of project you are wanting to do. We can advise you what information you may need. Sometimes the first call is not necessarily to the Builder.
We can book in an appointment for one of our Project Managers to come and meet with you - these initial consultations appointments are generally available during our normal business hours of 7.30am to 3.30pm - our Project Managers also supervise on site works so evening and weekend appointments are not generally available.
In most instances our Project Manager will be able to give you a realistic ballpark estimate of what he feels it would cost to build at the completion of this initial on site consultation.
If our estimate suits your budget, and wish list, we may then be able to work on a fully detailed quotation for you - this will show exactly what is included and what is not included. How long it takes to prepare the quote varies from job to job. Large jobs can take several weeks to gather all the information from major suppliers and trades. We cannot rush this stage, we want to ensuire we are giving you an accurate and fair price so there are no unforseen expenses or "budget blow outs"
Our Project Manager will re-visit with you and sit down and explain the quote to you - this is not a "hard sell tactic" but an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have and to give you comfort and security knowing you have all the information you need to make a well informed decision.
We are happy to cointinue to assit you in anyway we can until you have reached your decision - we apreciate that you will be asking for quotes from other companies, and are happy to help you compare apples to apples throughout this phase of the process.
Once you accept our quote, we prepare all the necessary paperwork - we will be able to give you an approximate start date and completion date, so you can organise yourself, and the household, for the work to be carried out.
Some projects, like a bathroom renovation, could mean a significant amount of inconvenience to you. We quite often carry out renovations whilst the client is away on holidays. With good pre-planning, mobile phones and email this is very easy to arrange.
